Pay it forward

The Twin Fire, which ignited early in October one mile southwest of the city of Williams, soon threatened numerous residences and businesses and the entire community of Williams. The combination of the fires burned over 1,900 acres and resulted in multiple business and resident evacuations.
Because Williams received an awesome amount of support from so many communities both in Arizona and beyond as well as those in our area who responded, the city wants to thank the numerous fire crews, law enforcement agencies ad many other groups who responded. Along with thanking al those involved, the community also wants to “PAY IT FORWARD”.
On Saturday, November 7 at the Williams Rodeo Grounds from 5pm to 9pm, the community will gather to say THANK YOU to those who protected Williams. There will be plenty of food, raffle prizes and entertainment along with lots of recognition for those who made such a big contribution. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the local Fire and Police Departments. In return, those departments will be asked to “Pay It Forward” by helping three other individuals or entities in need. In turn, each of the three beneficiaries will be asked to help three others who are in need and so on down the line.
