How often can Music be called “picturesque”? Can we create music that invokes visions of our future? Can
music be the glue that holds our inner and outer Universes together? Sunny Heartley believes all this is possible
through music and the vibration created with the tones of music.
Sunny Heartley is....Native American Flute Player, Recording Artist, Producer, Composer and
Sole Craftsman of his own line of Native American Style Flutes, known as Sun-Heart
Flutes. He uses his own hand-made flutes exclusively in his performances. It is
common for him to employ as many as 15 flutes during a concert.
This Musician and Composer has been creating music for over 35 years. Musically, his background is
as varied as you could imagine.. From professional rock and roll drummer to the soft, gentle, soothing style of his Native Flute music, he has done it all. His own compositions he refers to as "Native Heart Music".
Sunny has lived in the Verde Valley for over 30 years. His has performed across the Southwest to large audiences.
In 2005, he was awarded The People's Choice Award for Best New Meditation CD. His music has been called, "...very soothing", "...a sound track for your relaxed life", "...calms me to a place I have not been before," and, finally, "I knew there had to be a bridge between all the spiritual healing paths. I say bless you and thank you for the musical bridge."
The numerous CDs written and produced by Sunny over the course of his career have been critically acclaimed, and he considers himself more than fortunate to have been the recipient of the music community's favorable responses.
Concerts staged during the fall season of 2009 will be celebrating Sunny's latest CD release titled "My Heart". This new music compilation has already been called “a master musician's work from the Heart" by Joe Neri of the Well Red Coyote. Others have said, "This is by far his best work to date." The CD took almost two years to finish. Sunny says, "I am so grateful that the sounds I have heard in my soul and my heart for so long are finally accessible to me, and I have been able to create the music I hear in my heart. I believe that music occupies the space between the solid masses of the universe, and that music is the unspoken language of Peace."

Heartley at Studio Live Sedona, located at 215 Coffee Pot Drive in Sedona, AZ. November 7th's performance will feature the music of “My Heart”, as well as classic favorites from earlier releases.
